The pro-Government Al-Siyassah, quoting an unnamed security source, said the suspects had been watched by security since they arrived in Kuwait and were arrested "in due time." It did not say when or how the smugglers entered Kuwait or when they were arrested.The paper said the smugglers might have had accomplices inside Kuwait. It said Interior Minister Sheik Nawwaf Al Ahmed Al Sabah would hand over the smuggled weapons to an FBI agent at a news conference, but did not say when.Government officials could not be immediately reached for comment.Iraqi Interior Minister Nouri Al-Badran met on Tuesday with Sheik Nawwaf and discussed cooperation between the two countries in security matters. igloo Posted October 2 Report Share Posted October 2 The anti-war media would never report on something like this, unless a chemical warhead hit them in the head.......a story like this conflicts too much with their blatant agenda of undermining the administration, painting a picture that grossly misrepresents the situation in Iraq, and trying to prove that their antiwar stance was correct, despite the fact that their countless predictions of things that would go wrong did not occur (i.e. major humanitarian crisis, mass refugees, 500,000 civilians dead, Baghdad reduced to rubble, Shia uprising, oil fires and scorched earth, civil war, Arab street would erupt, Saddam will attack Israel, etc.).......If this story turns out to be true, and it is a huge IF, this would obviously be a huge P.R. win for Bush, the U.S, and international intelligence agencies amd some U.N. inspectors who still believe he had WMD....but it is a big IFHowever, to get to your orginal question---if there is one fact so far, it is the media has shamelessly reported Iraq through biased lens.....interesting, but CNN actually just aired a show of reporters and analysts and COngressman (dems included) who went to Iraq and all indicated that the country is far better than what is being portrayed in the media....thought this was a huge leap for CNN, but then again--the truth is going to get out.......
