Freestyle Anyone?

I only go for the freestyle. All the other acts they put on are all "1 hit wonders" and you never see them at a beatstock 2 years in a row.

unfortunetly, KTU will not play "new freestyle" of "new music" done by a freestyle artist, even if it isnt "freestyle".

KTU wants to leave "freestyle" in the past. I tried getting Johnny O booked for the past 2 years but they are rejecting him because he stood up for himself and said "if you dont play my new music, I wont do your show."

The only other station that gives freestyle a chance is LATINOMIX 105.9, but they only play freestyle from 12-1pm, m-f. but KTU plays our hits all day.

Ya gotta understand, KTU's demographics dont aim for us anymore. they are geared towards the 13-24 year olds.

...as much as i LOVE freestyle, i evolved into a house-head...freestyle for me is for the car and occasional moments/nights...it's not something i would want to hear daily and consistantly...just my opinion...either way, it looks like i'll def be at this party...

Anyone who knows me knows Im not the biggest Freestyle fan...but Lisette Melendez is the only cd I own of the genre..I love her...have fun at the party!

i used to have prolly the 15th largest collection of freestyle tapes and records in the 5 boroughs... almost all of my sisters friends were freestyle dj's and our garage was full of that stuff in the late 80's early 90's...
