PVD and Tiesto that night almost killed me with boardom. All these stupid build-ups with people raising their hands in the air like they're "feeling the music". Give me a break.

I guess I like house better. Just my opinion.:) But then again, maybe one night is not much to go on, but I am pretty big on first impressions.

i hear what you are sayin. Some DJs who are considered trance actually mixed it up when they are DJing. Ferry Corsten is a good example, he throws down trance, prog house, vocals and some breakbeats in his sets

THE CRITERIA

People voted online and by mailing in votes...

It should just go to show you how the rest of the world is embracing trance and we're the last ones to be about it (i mean here in the US)

Plus it also shows you how much people world wide care about their music-- they ALL voted. We all sit back and wait for the results then talk shit about them. I voted.

and i voted some local guys as well as the 'big guys'

Only thing i hate about Tiesto being #1 is that anyone who follows him can definitely tell that he got a bit cockier and lax after he was number one last year as opposed to the years prior.... Meanwhile PVD seemed to come on a bit more and thus u see his jump from 4 to 3...same with Armin....moving up quickly cuz they're hungry... hopefully tiesto starts putting feeling back into his sets cuz that excuse for a set he did when he was at roxy last was a joke-- (drop a record, smile, go backstage have a drink, come back, barely mix in the next record, play 10 straight classics, bounce)-- not worth $40-50 IMO

Mike
