Created with Chicago Clubbing Industry in mind, The Localsound Chicago Club Awards (CCAs) bring recognition to individuals and companies who drive the nightclub industry in Chicago. Last years awards saw over 1100 votes and nominations toward the various categories. The award winners are chosen strictly by people's choice over a two month nomination and finalist voting period. Anyone with an email address may submit a nomination and you may submit multiple nominations, however we restrict each nomination to one email. This years nomination period will run Nov 25th through Jan 15, 2004. The nominations will be tallied and the final voting will take place Jan 15-Feb 20, 2004. Everyone is allowed to vote and to nominate. The competition is open to all entertainers who fit in the following voting award categories: Best Male DjBest Female DjBest New DjBest ClubBest Promoter/HostBest Bar/Club StaffBest PublicationBest Club Event of 2003. There are also some new categories, Best Alternative/Live ActBest Weekly/Monthly Residency. In addition, Localsound is compiling a committee of almost 50 industry personnel to vote on four categories, Best Male, Female, and New Dj, and Best Alternative/Live Act. It gives the opportunity for anyone in the industry to compete against much larger and more well known entertainers and clubs. Nominees eligible for consideration must have been localized or situated in Chicago or the near-surrounding areas prior to the January 15th nomination deadline. Because of the nature of this competition, participants are encouraged to enter only those people/clubs that represent true excellence in the Chicago nightclub industry . Entries may be submitted by the Internet at our Web site www.localsound.com. The nomination period will run from November 25th, 2003 thru January 15, 2004. Twenty Finalists in each category will be chosen and final voting on each category will run from January 15th, 2004 through midnight February 15th, 2004. Nominations received after the deadline of January 15th will not be eligible for the 2003 competition. Award results will be announced by website and email in the first week of March of the year 2004!
