joevibe Posted December 7 Report Share Posted December 7 had a very good night compared to any other venue.. pretty much a full house.Very much a 'soho" type crowd...not a B and T. trendy..gay... good beats. David Morales had the booties shakin.some cool "vegas" style cosumes... different, artsy, etc.Spirit is like no other venue NYC has seen... it has a great vibe...but it's not going to be the trancey X type of venue.. expect an older, more refined hipster crowd....the downtown "cool" manhattanites... the "time out NY" crowd...not the "clubber".overall.. I give it a 9 on a energy, vibe level.... I think it will get better with tme as new people and the b and t crowd move in...go.. try it... if you are open mided.. you will definitely enjoy it... if you are anti_gay...anti-new....(close minded).. you won't be happy there. What happened:confused: the burning man event was misadvertised.. it was acually in brooklyn.. I think.Spirit had the "preopening" last week.. and the grand opening this week.
