FlipsSOE
do u mean 10 mil per year, or 10 million in total?? bartolo colon just got 12 milliong per for 4 years from the dodgers. if the astros r getting pettite for 3 years at 10 mil total, they're getting away with highway robbery. djprotege
i think its 10 mil a year for 3 years. For the Yankees sake, they better match it or offer him a lot more. If he stays with the Yankees he'll set their all time wins for a pitcher record, assuming he doesnt drop off and stink or get hurt. Thats a pretty prestigious record to hold. I'm not a Yankees fan, but I would be disapointed to see him finish his career somewhere else.
pookie23
He wants to play in his hometown...what's the problem with that? No one should argue about his decision or put him down because of it.Besides, it's not like the Astros are like the Mets...Stros' actually have a team and a future

captainpec
It looks like it's official this morning... bad to see him go, but on the otherhand - it's good to see that there is one player out there that isn't as money hungry and values other things in life.Astros - 10m/yrYankees - 13m/yrOh well - I guess we should have gone after Colon... bxbomb
George completely dropped the ball on this one and took for granted one of the all time great Yanks. Instead of worrying so much about Sheffields, Lofton ,Kevin Brown bullshit , they should have took care of priority #1 and that would have been to give ANdy a blank check on Nov. 1 and kept him in pinstripes for 4 more yrs. After what he did this postseason it was a no brainer.Money situation is about even ,remember there is no state tax in texas. It came down to the fact that Andy didnt feel respected and that yeah he would like to play at home.Dark cloud over the Yanks today, and even Kevin brown for Weaver cant lift it for the time being
MrCHOOPA2u
i think that was a bad move on the yankees part
