Well its up to you...the WMC badge/registration does give you access to a lot of the seminars and panels and a lot of industry type events. It does get you into SELECT parties (WMC sponsered). The big misconception is that if you attend the official WMC and get the badge that you will get into almost all the clubs for free. Very far from being true. If you want to learn and and attend these types of things and you really feel you will get your monies worth, then by all means. The thing is that there will be TONS of parties EVERYWHERE you can think of...hotels, cafes, stores, clubs, poolside, roof tops etc etc ..... you can find ways to get in for free and in addition there were free non-wmc sponsered workshops last year that were given by different labels and producers, they were similiar if not better than those offered with the price of WMC registration. My suggestion is if you really want to just party and see the best talent and attend the best parties.....pass up the badge...save the money....do some research as far as guestlists and comps on the net....be resourceful....the biggest chunk of change you should be dishing out is on airfare and hotels....the parties are soooo easy to get in for free admission...you just have to know where to look.

Also look out for parties where they give shit away....Fairwinds Hotel always has the same guys from Chicago throwing parties there...with free beer and BBQ ....they say its $10 to get in...but I always get in for free....even if you spend the $10 ...its free beer and food...and i am talking bottled beer...corona/heiniken and michelobs and a few other mexican beers. Whitelaw hotel hosted a bunch of free seminars too last year.
