djprotege Posted December 18 Report Share Posted December 18 Ok so I was listening to the radio on the way to work this morning in the car and Kelis was being interviewed on this morning show (she has a performance at a club here tonight) and they asked her about the meaning of Milkshake. She started off by saying something like it can really mean anything you want. Something that you are better at than anyone else, or something you thats special to you, or something that makes people want you more. But then she said when she wrote it, it meant "booty." The guys interviewing her than told her it was "aight to say ASS on the air." Hahaha...She said she was sitting around with some people in a studio one day talkin' about someone shaking their booty like a Milkshake or somethin like that...thats where she got the idea for Milkshake. She also said that she thought people would get the idea that it meant that because of all the focus on her and the other girls shaking their booties in the video, plus she pointed out the part in the video where she pulls a loaf of bread out of an oven thats shaped like an ass.
