While growing up in a musical family, Dan focused on developing his skills as a keyboard player and a percussionist. These talents were soon expanded and became the backbone for his future endeavors in music. In 1993, Dan discovered a love for house music while attending nightclubs and parties. It wasn’t long before Dan started buying records and DJing on a regular basis. From local club residencies to underground events, he had found his niche. As Dan continued to grow as a DJ, his aspiration to create pushed him to express himself as an artist. After a few years in the studio, Dan met Chicago producer, Richie Heller. Together they recorded under the guise of "Dirty Sole", including recent work for Classic Recordings.Currently, Dan is working closely with Chicago house guru, Justin Long. Dan and Justin have adopted the moniker "No Assembly Required" and have completed over a dozen projects, including work for Music For Freaks, Aroma, Greens Keepers Music, Doubledown, .Dotbleep Recordings, G-swing and Alluv Recordings. Aside from their studio work, Dan and Justin perform regularly throughout the US, in addition to hosting their monthly No Assembly Required mix show on XM Radio.Besides producing and performing, Dan also maintains a record label entitled "Peaches Music" with close friend, Honey Dijon. Their label has been very well received and features artists such as Natural Rhythm, Derrick Carter, Freaks, JT Donaldson and Swirl People. Dan is constantly refining himself as an artist, by taking on projects that challenge and influence his creative ability.
