Rack Jite My Best Advice – 1/22/2004 - http://rackjite.comThe best advice I can give regarding the next election is to strongly and personally confront your non voting, moderate, independent and Republican lite families, friends and acquaintance, with the steady repetitive beat that a win for Bush in November will help them further entrench their Right-wing control of all branches of government. Which already can be seen as the worst thing that has happened in this country since 1861. Who is Meaner – 1/22/2004 - http://rackjite.com“There is a gigantic overt Right-wing plan, funded by billions of dollars to destroy my husband and I and drive us from office.†Rack Jite on what Hillary should have said. A few months ago CSPAN Washington Journal asked the question; “Who is meaner, conservatives or liberals?†Instead of having a centrist guest to help us arrive at the more than obvious, Brian Lamb chose a contributor to REASON magazine, who also represented another Ayn Rand organization. So the person to decide who was meaner was further to the lunatic Right than Tom Delay. She finally arrived at the answer. Though she hated to admit it, its all about the same. Hey, I wrote a 900 page book on this very subject! There are perhaps a million easy ways to toss that slop into the bucket were it belongs, here are just a few:Name a liberal on the radio as mean as Rush Limbaugh or Michael Savage. Name a liberal radio personality that called a president’s daughter a dog? Name a liberal in congress as mean as Tom Delay. Name a liberal organization as mean as the Ku Klux Klan or the Aryan Nations. Name a liberal who crucified a gay man on a fence. Name anyone anywhere that compares in anyway to Robert K. Dornan! Name a liberal who has shot a doctor for political reasons. Name a liberal who outed a CIA agent for political payback. Name a liberal who dragged a black man behind his truck until his head fell off. Name a liberal who has bombed a woman’s center. Name a liberal more god awful than Newt Gingrich. Name an instance of a Special Prosecutor trying to impeach a president for losing $5000 on a land deal 17 years before he became president. Find comparable investigations of a president for such spurious issues as Whitewater, Fostergate, Travelgate, Arlingtongate, Basementgate, Bimbogate, Pardongate, Flatwaregate and Trashgate. Evolution of Creationism – 1/22/2004 - http://rackjite.comEvery so often a number pops up to verify my convictions. That number recently became 72. It began when I heard a talking head saying that 72% of Americans believed creationism over evolution. It caused me to search around to also find: 72% of Americans want to re write the constitution to make flag burning a political crime, 72% of Americans want to re write the constitution to deny homosexuals the same rights as heterosexuals, and 72% of Americans want children to be required to pray in public schools. It was 1962 when Vatican II accepted evolution as the tool of God’s creation. Moving the Catholic World, though slowly, to accept reason over myth. The specific question, “Do you believe the world was created less than 10,000 years ago?†today, gets 52% of Americans agreeing, in 1935 only 28% agreed. How far we have come. The polls hold up to a majority, including biology teachers, wanting creationism given equal time in Biology class. We live in a nation were most people deny not only evolution, but by doing so, deny archeology, anthropology, astronomy, cosmology, geology, physics, chemistry, radiology, common sense, logic and reason. And they vote in the highest numbers. 72% of Americans believe the ten commandments should be presented on public property, in court rooms and in public schools. The sad discord of that regarding the 1st Amendment aside, the insanity of standing before Judge Moore’s three ton graven image of the Ten Commandments to read Commandment Two which plainly states that standing before a graven image is a sin against God, goes beyond the pale. With the same commandant going on to tell us the sins of the fathers shall fall on the sons for five generations. Now there is something we want written on the walls of our courthouses and schools. 57% of Americans say George Bush is doing a good job and they would vote for him! Is it any wonder we have a dim bulb sitting in the White House (when he has time)? Our daddy's boy president who enjoys killing even more than Andrew Jackson did. Our rich spoiled frat boy president who in a time of war reduced taxes on the wealthiest Americans by hundreds of billions of dollars. WOW! Just that alone would have begun impeachment hearings in a rational world. Our AWOL president who for political reasons did nothing about terrorism until after the fact of 911. Our cowboy president who has for the first in our history, initiated a war. A war that was planned within weeks of taking office and followed by a year of deliberate lies concerning the whys and wherefores of it. Our mumble stumble president who has alienated most of the world by slapping Kyoto, the World Court, the EU, arms treaties, landmine treaties and the UN while poking a firestick into the very center of that nest of a billion already angry Muslims. Our Lassie Farts President who took from our children to give the wealthy tax breaks. Our borrow and spend president who while turning a $500 billion surplus into a $500 billion deficit and suffering the biggest economic fall and rise in unemployment since the Depression, lowered taxes on the wealthy AGAIN. Our most dishonest president who has lied hundreds of times regarding his compassion, wanting to improve the environment and wanting to bring us all together. Our Ahab President who is in the process of destroying an old cabinet member for recently spilling the beans on just what a war hungry dufus George Bush really is. All these generalizations aside, look around your own space and weep.Shallow Sam – 1/22/2004 - http://rackjite.comI had on the second most watched news channel, CNN (FOX of course is number one) the other morning. From about 8am until well after noon it was a nothing other than a live camera feed of a crowd in front of a Santa Barbara court house waiting, then seeing, then waiting again and then seeing once more a very strange little man. So strange a little man, that I have come to believe he is not a child molester. He is so strange I have come to believe he lives in a world beyond sex in the realm of androgynous cartoon angels he takes on carnival rides. Its become all about Sammy’s RBOs, Britney’s unmarraiges, Michaels face, cell phones and instant messaging. A few recent issues have made things look ever more bleak:1) The very conservative Governor of Alabama asked for a nominal tax hike to pay for teachers, education and to pay off a bit of the state debt. It was soundly voted down by the people. Subsequently 5000 teachers were fired, class size increased, public infrastructure got worse and the debt rose. This same thing is going on in many states, and W. Virginia right now. 2) In the rather progressive city of Seattle, a 3% tax on Latte (high end $3 a cup coffee) to pay for pre school programs that had been decimated by the dot com blowout, was soundly trounced. 3) In the rather progressive state of California they threw out a Democratic governor and replaced him with a rather stupid, though macho, Republican movie star whose first job out of the box was to reduce the health care benefits for the poor, the elderly, children and push another 350,000 low income people into the realm of the uninsured. With majority approval.4) The vast majority of Americans are so consumed by celebrity, blind faith, and jingoism they will vote even against their own self interest. 5) The majority of Americans believe that racism has been fixed so well there is no longer any need for Affirmative Action.6) The majority of Americans believe that the Earth was created less than 10,000 years ago.7) Over 80% of Americans want to eliminate the inheritance tax though it is only paid by the top 1% and there are exceptions for small business and family farms.8) The majority of Americans do not care that under George Bush this country has so obviously been put under control of corporate interest. Specifically energy and banking which include eight of the top ten contributors to George Bush.9) With an already $200 billion going to the war in Iraq and having turned a $500 billion surplus into a $500 billion dollar deficit, the majority of Americans find it okay to reduce the taxes of the wealthy by hundreds of billions of dollars in a time of war, twice. Bush giving his rich friends a War Bonus while dishing out body bags to the rest of us, is not a problem here in the Land of Duh.10) A federal court of appeals backed Tom Delay’s Texas redistricting plan. This means at least 6 and probably 8 seats in congress will automatically go from Democrat to Republican, increasing the difference in votes by 16 next Janurary. 11) Pondering just these ten examples alone is so depressing I am going to stop right here and go take a crap. The Democrats – 1/22/2004 - http://rackjite.com“If George Bush were caught in the act of raping, killing and eating toddlers, the majority of Americans would still vote for him.†Rack Jite My favorites in this years primary have been the no BS candidates who can look you in the eye and tell the truth because they know they cant win. But no matter who we send to lose to George of Nazareth in November, it will at least be a good show. I have been wary of Dean because of that old Dukakis problem of having a better political machine than a candidate. And Americans dont like too much emotion in their presidents, so just as the press destroyed Moe Udall's candidacy because he shed emotional tears behind a podium once, so they will destroy Dean and his scream. I do not believe the General has paid his dues, which leaves the best bet, Kerry(Gravitas) and Edwards(Southern Charisma) in 2004. For who knows, George could break away from his puppeteers, raise taxes like his father had to, and have the America majority turn against him. This of course is our only hope, after all murder, rape, and cannibalism wouldn't matter.
