JonStephen
Pedro, Schilling, Loweprovided they can all stay healthy, there is not a better threesome in all of baseball besides Oswalt, Pettite, and Clemins. We all know the dominant yanks of the past had the dominant staff, especially the top three pitchers who won series after series for them.........and a closer, only thing is now the Sox got Foulkeforget about A-Rod, forget about the Yankees......the Red Sox are legitimate this year for contention
nomembername
What don't you understand????...yes I agree that they have a great team and have a legitimate chance to contend but what the fuck does it matter....in the end they will find a way to choke! bxbomb
Of course the Sox have a very good rotation, but for the 1,743 time dont dismiss the Yank rotation they match up just fine with the sox , and The yank pen is better than the sox even with foulkeAnd starting lineup , ya gott to admit position to position the yanks get the edge there as wellAnd oh yeah one other thing ... the sox heads are so filled with failure and the "curse" that it will eat at htem at one point or another in a big spot we shall see its Officially ON .... JonStephen
you guys are placing the spectrum into the world series.......I'm talking about just taking the AL East....thats enough of a task this year
bxbomb
AL east hands down best division on paper at the start of the season , shit the D-rays could make some noise in other divisionsbut that being said ...LETS GO YANKEES...1 9 1
jtk4
*cough* Prior/Wood/Maddux*cough* Maddox is a joke, just wait and see.*cough*Zito/Mulder/Hudson*cough* I see alot of games ending 3-2 or 4-3 for them. No offense and no closer = lots of close game losses*cough*Mussina/Brown/Vasquez*cough* mussina looked good this morning Winning the al east is not enough of a task this year WS or nothing. bxbomb
Oh yeah and thers no questions marks with Pedro Mr. 5 innings and Schilling who is 39 had injuries last yr and coming to a better league...otayyy Will see in october when the dust settlesand you dont think Maddux is gonna win 15 ?ok throw him out and put in clement or zambrano ...they could have monster yrs as well
jtk4
I just think with maddox that last year he started to get shelled, and he is not getting any younger. Questeq (sp) really hurts him because he relies on getting the outside calls. When the umps shorten the strike zone on him watch out. I also do not think that the cubs are good enough defensively for him, he puts alot into play. And last but not least he is going from atlanta to chicago and now gets to play houston, cardinals and reds instead of the mets montreal, philly and marlins. Its funny you mention 5 inning prdro I think that is how long mussina lasted this morning. jtk4
yeah schilling injuries were real career threatning, throat infection and broken hand from punching the questeq camera thing. Unlike your 40 tear old dynamo brown who is also coming into a better league and has had back, shoulder, elbow, hip, and ankle problems.
jtk4
i like them both over maddox. Don't get me wrong he could have a big year, because he is pushing for 300 wins but i just do not see it. I am also not a gm of a club or a scout so I could be off base.

jtk4
most starters do not do well in the begining of the season but he is a moose so i would not worry about him. As the season goes on how he looked through 4 gets pushed up.
jtk4
Didn't mussina shut us down after clemens left in game seven.I really do not remember i have blocked that out.
bxbomb
Yeh he pitched great in the post season ..i was talkin bout 1st round vs twins , we had extra days off before the start of that series so Moose had like 8 days rest and kept complaining that it was too much rest etc. Big thing with him supposedly being a creature of habit and shit.and when things arent perfectly right he soesnt perform well pffft whatever Moose just get 20 wins for the first time in your career this yr
magellanmax
Rays: 8 Yamkees: 3200 million $$ didnt show up to play. JonStephen
if last year was any indication.....you only need three guns in the playoffstake the Marlins for instance.....the Yanks got their asses handed to them in the spotlight by (realistically) three pitchers

Mussina lost to the rays, a-rod n jeter are trying to outgun each other..thats cool.... i just cant wait till they start falling apart at the seams.... then the red sox move in to clean up. I just hope the bullpen doesnt reek like last season. I remember towards the end of last season when we lost that awful series to the orioles...i just felt it was gonna be a long postseason(if any) ...then came along Grady Fuckin Little (who i believe was on georgieboys' payroll) How could he ???? damn anyho...the yamkees got the worst record in MLB rite now as i type its a sweet feeling hope it stays thataway
