JonStephen
try switching from strait bar inclines/bench to dumbells and concentrate more on inclinesalso, while in your shoulder routine, do some in front of the face military presses
ou812
The upper and middle chest areas typically are the hardest to isolate. Dorian Yates was a firm believer that you didn't even need to do flat or decline bench presses. In his routine he focused mainly on various incline movements for both presses and flyes. To help in building the middle-line of your chest try using cable cross-overs and close grip bench. At the peak of contraction try to make an extra effort to squeeze your pecs together and feel the inner part of them doing the work. My center line of my chest is a bit of a lagging spot for me too. ou812
Pec dec may help. It's primary purpose is to develop the pec/delt tie in on your upper-outer chest. But you should practice to develop a better mind muscle connection, squeezing at the peak of contraction is important.
JonStephen
you think dumbbells hit those areas more??? i rarely if ever use them... i was also thinking about switching up my shoulders routine a putting milt.presses in there...they wont hit the areas any more like ou812 mentioned, but they will beef you up more. if you want to "target" areas, my thinking is that your prolly lagging development....dumbells help develop more rapidly than strait bar
