phatman Posted June 23 Report Share Posted June 23 ...senator brownback piggybacked his bill on a military bill yesterday and got it back...essentially the bill is what will bring the stern show to a halt as it holds the announcer responsible for FCC violations and carries the $500,000 fine that has been tossed around the last few months...apparently similar bills were passed in both houses but the fine amount was not agreed upon but will be by committee in the near future...the clock is now officially ticking on the show....america...land of the free...lol... phatman Posted June 23 Author Report Share Posted June 23 ...it's funny because piggybacking bills has been around for years...in fact, there was a simpsons episode where lisa used it to get her bill passed...one of the funniest episodes i'd ever seen...anyway...such a scheisty way of doing things...the further irony is that brownback and some others are part of a group called the fellowship - in its simplest terms, it is jesus fanatacism...so you would think "religious types" would be more honest and direct in such matters...not so...blah...the whole thing stinks...
