The brainchild of East Coast rave pioneers Scott Henry and Charles Feelgood, up to two-thousand kids from up and down the East Coast would congregate every other Thursday at the Paradox, the club at which Fever was held. Ravers lined up under a highway overpass hours before doors opened to ensure that they would get in.What was Fever like?Imagine a warehouse with two rooms of cutting-edge dance music, one of the best soundsystems on the East Coast, a skating rink-style snack bar, and an outdoor courtyard where exhausted dancers rested while trains sped by, horns blasting. Throw in a colorful mix of friendly ravers who took their dancing seriously, and you have all the ingredients for a Fever party. An Event Like No Other.Fever ran at the Paradox from December 1992 to May 2001, one of the longest running biweeklies ever in the US. The talent that came through Fever over the years was breathtaking: Paul Van Dyk, Carl Cox, Sven Vath, Robert Armani, DJ Rap, Judge Jules, 2 Bad Mice, Tall Paul, Derrick Carter, Dieselboy, Dara, Josh Wink, Sandra Collins, Keoki and many, many others.VENUEThe Paradox Nightclub1310 Russell StreetBaltimore, MDTwo rooms of music plus an outdoor chillout area.
