Description:

The Vibe Oasis is not only going to be the best party of the summer, but the only one of its kind that you will be able to find in Boston. Simply put, it's a psychedelic electronic music event that's going to feature world class talent in a posh venue.

The acts playing are DJ Monk of Rabbit in the Moon, the biggest rave act in history; Moshi vs. Omen, featuring the keyboard player of the Disco Biscuits (biggest live electronic band in North America); Kenny Muhammad, aka the Human Orchestra, an incredibly talented beatboxer that can rap at the same time he makes the beats; and some of the best DJs in New England spinning house & breaks in the upstairs. On both sides of the stage will be two large screens featuring a live, interactive visual show. The crew putting on the visuals is led by Toshi Hoo and is going to be some of the trippiest shit you've ever seen. To spice up the party, there will also be free face painting and massages.

The musical theme of the night is melodic electronica, hard-core dance music that's as good to listen to as it is to dance to. The show starts with the Human Orchestra (Muhammad) wowing us with his ability to make the funkiest beats using his voicebox as the only instrument. The dance-fest really gets going with Moshi vs. Omen. This is a live PA, meaning electronic music that is made before your eyes with laptops, keyboards, CD-Js, and turntables. The music itself is classical intertwined with techno, drum'n'bass, house, and breaks. The rave king, DJ Monk, will take over from there and will spin a set that also spans the major genres of electronic music. Out of any major DJ in the world, Monk's sets are as diverse as it gets and you never know what to expect.

The venue itself, Axis, is the best in Boston for a creating an intense dance vibe and raising the energy in the room.

Downstairs, in the main room, the huge dance floor lies a good six feet below the rest of the club. Nobody crashing into you with drinks, just straight dancing. Added with a top-notch, surround-sound system the vibe gets very intense. If you just want to chill out and watch the show, you can hang out in the bar area, getting a great view of the stage. Upstairs is a lounge with plush leather couches, a large dance floor, a killer system, and a great ambiance.

Sick of electronic music events that are supposed to be the shit, but cost $35, the music sucks, and the venue is a dump? This is a party that's bringing legitimacy to the hype, a place where you can let yourself go and have one of the best nights of your life. More info can be found at www.maxxhaze.com.
