Censorship in Iraq?

being anti-american, fiercely biased, one-sided, and arguably a negative contributor to events is not a wrong. publicly unacceptable perhaps to some, but certainly not a wrong. conversely if we applied those above mentioned principles , as they relate to US laws. you would be well within your constitutional rights, to hold those principles as your own.

to believe a media outlet directly or indirectly puts people’s lives in danger, is a far stretch. the Iraqi government's actions where inappropriate and ineffective as I alluded to previously and still maintain.

"being anti-american, fiercely biased, one-sided, and arguably a negative contributor to events is not a wrong. publicly unacceptable perhaps to some, but certainly not a wrong....."..

What????????...you can't be serious in the context of Al jazeera in Iraq

We are talking about a so-called "news" organization here, not some individual blowhard with a platform.......this whole discussion was about Al Jazeera and their "reporting", and actually you defending them as a credible news organization reporting the "news' and being on par with American media.......now you are discounting what they do as simply "unacceptable" to some, but not a wrong?.............

It is a wrong when you are suppossed to be "news" organization, one that should be more responsible when your "reporting" influences tens of millions of people in the region ......and has a direct impact on the situation in Iraq.....

I guess you are right in one aspect---their "reporting" is not a wrong to the enemies of the U.S. and those who want to continue to destabilize Iraq

And this statement by you is in direct contradiction of your own comments:

"to believe a media outlet directly or indirectly puts people’s lives in danger, is a far stretch. "....

They should not be considered a media outlet if it is not considered to be a wrong if they are anti-american, fiercely biased, one-sided, and arguably a negative contributor to events....

They then simply become a reckless propoganda machine and an instrument of the enemy and put lives in danger(including the Iraqi people), ........to say a "media outlet", by any definition, does not put people's lives in danger is completely ignorant and naive.....

You are all over the map son......Al Jazeera was making the situation in Iraq, especially in Fallujah and with Al Sadr, worse....and puting more lives in danger.....the Iraqi govt was completely appropriate in their actions based on the FACT that AL jazeera ceased to act, if they ever did, like a credible media organization, and instead, was acting entirely in a manner in which you do not view as a "wrong', but it certainly was.
