Space Transportation Corporation's low-budget rocket exploded after shooting less than 1,000 feet into the air near Olympic National Park in Washington state. No one was hurt. The $20,000 Rubicon One carried three dummies simulating the weight of astronauts. The company's co-founder says it needs to raise more money so it can try again. More than two dozen teams are competing for the Ansari X Prize.
