bigpoppanils
oh and Sotuchick: Clinton bombed Al Qaeda's training camps... i dont see how this statement makes senseTerrorist training in Afghanistan under Clinton - good... Bush destroys training camps in Afghanistan - bad...
italia23
the GOP also refused Clinton's requests for anti-terrorism funding for the CIA Clinton had a number of opportunities to nail Bin Laden. The finger would be over the button, when he and Sandy Berger would have a moral dilemma and pull back for fear of collateral damage. These people do not need a reason to want to kill usHere was a chance to wipe out a high-ranking terrorist. And Bush didn’t take advantage of it because doing so might also wipe out a rationale for invasion.

karch
I don't know why I will reply to that first post, since it was very idiotic list, that someone with minimal capabilities of reasoning can see how idiotic that list is.Number 1, you can't compare Serbia with Iraq.... two totally different countries and two totally different situationsAnd how many American soldiers died in Serbia? We contributed almost nothing to the cause in Serbia. Europe was so concerned that they shouldered the most reponsibility. We flew missions over Serbia from so high up that we were out of the range of SAMs. And it really isnt an idiotic list. While ever situation is unique, I find the Haliburton one to be the most telling. No Bid=No Bid no matter what year it is.

No Bid=No Bid no matter what year it is.So according to your first paragraph, you agree with me that the situation in Serbia and our actions in Serbia were and are totally different from our actions in Iraq. As for the 2nd paragraph. I think the Bush administration gets a lot of slack for the no-bid contract given to halliburton, is because Vice President Dick Cheney was the former CEO of Halliburton(Al Gore wasn't) AND also because of the sheer size of the no-bid contract that Bush gave, which was up to $7 billion dollars. Clinton's no-bid contract to Halliburton was not even 1/7th of that.... it was up to $900 million. Yes that list is very idiotic. It might be a good rallying cry for some narrow-minded conservative that lives in Nebraska and is fearing a terrorist attack, but yes it is still a totally idiotic list.
