kutekimee Posted December 1 Report Share Posted December 1 hmmm can you enlighten me on this t9 thing... my phone flashes t9 when i turn it on.. i have a motorola i730.. and have nextel service... and it sucks for text messaging... when i get a text message i dont know who it's from bc the name doesnt flash... only their numberand who knows anybody's number??? i just push their name and talk..Check out the website silly... Basically, it helps you text faster by reducing the number of times u gotta punch a button to spell a word. When you turn on the T9 function, your phone will guess what word you're punchin in when u type in the the buttons that correspond to the word. And if more than one word can be spelled with those buttons, you just hit "Next" and it'll shift to other words it can spell. It makes texting a LOT faster than having to repeatedly punch the buttons to get to the 2nd/3rd/4th letter assigned to the button. Hope that makes sense. I have no idea why your phone doesn't show the person's name when you get texts though. That's strange... does that mean when u get incoming calls only the number is shown and not the name?? I like how it auto switches back to T9 when you finish typin the symbol though. Wish I got a Sidekick...but those things are sooo biggg... Aim for those who arent at the club, txt for eveyone who is, guestlist info emailed to it. i tell you its crack.and t9 does suck long live QWERTY!i have unlimited txting and data, last month i had something like ~1300 txt messages and 2200 talk minutes... like i said, its crack. guess that makes me a crackhead?nahh, ill leave that up to leo.
