Music not all that. He came on almost 2am. Too many people. I guess $25 was too cheap. The crowd was ugly. I saw guys with long hair like heavy metal style. I was being pushed all over the place. Roxy would have been a better place for this event.

dude this is nyc.... somehow we have more euro trash than europe does... :vomit2::vomit2:

also... im no fabio or anything (lol) but the crowds at pvd, avb events arent usually attractive...

whats wrong with guys with long hair. the length of your hair determines if you are part of a acceptable crowd. be serious. you people cant be that shallow. i thought this comunity accepted all regardless of looks or anything else. its about the music. right? :hat:

I was in the crowd and I'm not ugly, so maybe YOU are what made what the crowd ugly!

you go girlfriend.... mmmm hmmmmmm...

ok, you get that out of your system??? you feel better now?? good...

DONT BE SO QUICK TO JUDGE!!!! did i say every single person that walks through the door is fugly... no... i said the crowds are usually less attractive... you need to tone it down a bit... from a guys perspective the girls at trance events aren't as good looking as the girls on a regular club night... deal with it...

Maybe I was at a different club and heard a different dj but I believe I saw Armin at Spirit last friday and his set was as good as the one at Roxy earlier this year. I think the all the people complaining about Spirit and saying how great Crobar is are obviously clubbing for other reasons other than going to hear a great dj set. And I respect that. Just don't comment on the dj set if you are just going to complain about security and undercover pigs. Get over it they're every where. Spirit's Phazon system is far superior to Crobar's and the club is designed for those interested in more than just the glamor style Crobar has to offer. I am happy the Made Events has made there way to Spirit and I agree with some of you. Once JP gets out of there, Spirit could possibly reignite Twilo's legacy.

For those of you who actually have knowledge of the music, I was happy to hear he dropped Kyau vs Albert's "Mad of Sun" :)

Spirits system is weird, or maybe just not tuned properly yet. The bass was up way too high or something. Plus when I left my ears were ringing so I know something was wrong. That never happens to me at a club where the sound is proper.

I don't think Armin's set was all that personally. Trainwrecked a lot more than a 'top dj' should imho. some of the tunes were good others were mediocre at best. Guess I'm expecting too much when I think he'll play new, unreleased stuff out but whatever.

As for reigniting Twilo's legacy....very doubtful. Twilo is gone, get over it and let that place rest in peace already

I could have sworn Armin's "Pound" and KA's "Made of Sun" were new. Even Max Graham's "Gone" and "Jump the Next Train" are fairly new. I agree he did mix in some big room classics but that would make him grounded as oppose to "trainwrecked." If anyone who is trainwrecked it's Tiesto and his commercial performance in Central Park.

To me mixing in the old and the new is what it's all about but I guess not everyone has the same taste.

And as far as Twilo goes, yes it's gone and so is sound factory but the space is what lives on :whip:

I surprised to hear you werent totally impressed with Spirits new Mike Bindra designed/Steve Dash installed sound system!

I heard talk already, it supposed to be the very best, maybe it just takes time to get used to hearing the best.
