Philip Bailey & Phil Collins “Easy Lover 2005†Spinnin BNX 12 – semi-official release from Belgium with Bailey & Collins’ vocal and the original guitar instrumentation given the Prydz-style house rework.

Green Velvet “La La Land 2005†White ENG 12 – bootleg progressive breakbeat reworking by Carganoid of this house anthem from the late 90s, with the famous vocal worked into the chunky production. Circulates as MASTERSTROKE.

Hashim “Al Naafiysh 2005†White ENG 12 – circulates as SHELLTOE004, Shelltoe Allstars rework of this classic late 80s house moster.

Inner City “Good Life 2005†White ENG 12 – 33ST, latest in the Street Bootleg series. B-side is rework of Jean-Jacques Smoothie “2 Peopleâ€.

Men At Work “Who Can It Be 2005†White USA 12 – circulates as Starbuck Jones Experience, funky house rhythms under the original vocal and guitar lines of the early 80s classic, with full vocal. On the flip is a chunky house reworking of Bel Biv Devoe “Poison.†Catalog Number is SJ01.

Paul Oakenfold “Calling 2005†White GER 12 – New 2005 trance bootleg mixes of this Oakenfold classic, with a similar-styled reworking of Keane “Somewhere†on the flip. Catalog Number is KT001.

Shapeshifter vs Michael Jackson “Lola’s Jean†White ENG 12 – mashup that blends the vocal from Michael Jackson over the instrumentation of Shapeshifters. Circulates as LJ01.

U2 “New Years Day 2005†White ENG 12 – Ferry Corsten rework in an energetic dark trance reworking with the famous piano line in full effect. NYD01.

House

Steve Angelo “Euro†Subliminal USA 2x12 – latest release from the American arm of Subliminal is this dark, driving tech house monster that features driving rhythm, sharp acidic synth lines and hooky vocal chants. Mixes from Sebastien Ingrosso and Kid Gorgeous and the double-pack also includes the B-side track "Acid."

DeBos “On The Run 2005†C2 GER 12 – NP mixes – New 2005 driving tech house reworkings by NP of this old hard dance anthem. New mixes include the famous sqelchy synthlines from the original but with a darker, grittier techhouse orchestration. Release also includes the long-deleted original version.

Michael Gray “The Weekend†Motivo ITA 12 Part 2 – Yet more mixes on this massive house track as Starchaser, J Reverse, DeNuit and Lady Miami provide new interpretations that amplify various elements of the original summery disco-tinged production, with all of the mixes having a tougher, techier feel to them.

Holy & Woods "Help Me With Your Love" White ITA 12 - stunning bigroom disco-tinged vocal house production from Italy with a gorgeous female vocal over warm, flowing house orchestration and a driving rhyhtm line. Fans of Shapeshifters will find this track very appealing, while the dub mix on the flip will appeal to fans of a darker, techier sound.

Rachel McFarlane “Lover 2005†AATW ENG 12 and C5 – Commercial edition finally out on this massive reworking of the mid-90s handbag classic, as La McFarlane gets her classic vocal reworked in solid trance-tinged NRG style with mixes by LMC and a more purely trance mix by CJ Stone. CD-Maxi adds mixes not on the vinyl edition.

The Killers “Somebody Told Me†Lizard ENG 12 – Huge US Indie Rock hit from the autumn gets a makeover for its UK release as Mylo and Glimmers provides tough, chunky electrohouse mixes that fit perfectly with the punkish feel of the vocal, which is used in full in both mixes. These mixes are exclusive to the UK release.

Ernest Kohl “Only You†Benz USA C5 – The Yaz classic from the mid-80s gets covered here in this bouncy Hi-NRG version featuing a bright male vocal and remixes from Julian Marsh, Chris Panaghi and Stephen L. Perfect for floors that love the bouncy circuit HiNRG sound. CD-Maxi only.

Steve Lawler “Illectronic Music†Harlem ENG 12 – Lawler debuts his new Electronic sublabel to his own Harlem imprint with this dark, gritty electrohouse production featuring a deep spoken male vocal over driving rhythm lines and sharp synth orchestrations. Includes both full vocal and dub versions, and blends the current hot electro sound with Lawler's own chunky deep progressive feel perfectly.

Live Element “DBMD†Gossip USA 12 – samples of ELO's classic “Don’t Bring Me Down†are worked up in a chunky tech-tinged bigroom house style by Live Element. Aggressive synth lines, driving rhythms and hooks of the oriignal vocal blended to perfection, inclues both vocal and dub versions.

Mr Timothy f/Inaya Day “Stand By Me†Glitterball ITA 12 – Inaya's massive vocal is the star of this new Italian house production. In its original form a funky, disco-tinged produciton, remix by E-Smoove transforms the track into a massive bigroom anthem with more than enough attitude to keep the floor in line. Also includes a new mix of "I Am Tha 1" that is tough, chunky and funky.

Morillo f/Terra Deva “What Do You Want†Subliminal ENG 12 Part 1, Part 2 and C5 – UK division of the Subliminal empire releases this solid house production from the label master originally released in Germany last autumn. Disc one is the more mainstream of the two discs and features the solid original club mix as well as a solid house reworking from Kenny Hayes. Disc two features chunkier house reworks from Minimal Chic and a funky tech tinged rework from Tom Novy. CD-Maxi has all.

Polyphonics f/Hasina Sheik “Night Lights†Onephatdeeva ENG 12 – Seamus Haji on the mix for this classy disco-tinged house production with a beautiful vocal performance from Ms Sheik and smooth, sultry house orchestrations. Includes both full vocal and dub versions.

Praise Cats “Shine On Me 2005†AATW ENG 12 – Promo doublepack of new 2005 reworkings of this classic vocal house production that feautres both the original club mix, the remix and dub by Bini & Martini released a couple years ago and new reworkings by Friday Night Posse in the bouncy UK NRG sound. Full commercial release later this spring.

Soul Khula “Fire†Undo USA 12 – Smooth, seductive garage cut with a deep, seductive female vocal over shuffly rhythms and deep, flowing house synth orchestrations. Includes a rework by Groove Junkies on the flip that ups the tempo a touch but preserves the beauty of the original vocal perfectly.

Stonebridge “Take Me Away†Hed Kandi ENG 12 Part 3 Promo – Third set of mixes on this massive followup to "Put Em High" feauting a driving discohouse rework by DJ Bomba that hooks the chorus into the production, and a solid new reworking by Stonebridge himself.

Sybil “When I Fall In Love 2005†Fuego USA 12 – Yet more mixes on this classic vocal track as Meat Grinder provides a dark, brooding house rework that rides the line between garage funkiness and a chunky, seductive progressive sound for the bigger rooms. Includes both full vocal and dub versions.

William Umana “Let’s Do It†Heavy Trax USA 12 – Dark, driving progressive-tinged bigroom cirucit track with a hooky spoken female vocal over the chunky rhythm lines and deep, spacious synth lines. Two mixes, perfect for the floors that love the dark *69 sound.

Uniting Nations “Out Of Touch†Badabing GER 12 – New mixes from Germany on this cover that uses hooks from the Hall & Oates classic. One side features Aston Martinez in an enegetic, slightly techy discohouse reworking, while on the flip Fraudster gives a more electrohouse interpretation.

Trance & Progressive

DJ Wag “Getting High†Overdose GER 12 – Continuing to move away from the hard dance sound to a more melodic style, this new release on Overdose features a hooky spoken female vocal over energetic lines of melodic synth and driving rhythm lines and a catchy retro mid-90s handbag house synth to balance the production. The Misar mix on the flip adds a rock guitar line to the mix.

Enmass “Beyond Horizon†A State Of Trance BNX 12 – Beautiful Dutch melodic instrumental trancer with waves of melody blended with a smooth, flowing rhythm= line for an uplifting overall production. Light, breezy and spring-like in feel, very much for earlier night play or to give the kids a breather in between harder, more energetic tracks.

Fiendish House “Down To The Ground†RPO Trax FRA 12 – Rick Pier O'Neil back with another one of those tribal-tinged progressive productions that his label has now become famous for. Spoken male vocal hooks over spacious synth swells and chunky tribalized rhyhtm lines. Two mixes.

Ian Knowles f/Marcella Woods “Almost Got Over You†Kickin ENG 12 – UK Hard Dance producer showing his softer side here with this gorgeous vocal trance production which perfectly highlights the talents of Marcella Woods as her emotional vocal is supported by a solid melodic orchestration (based roughly on the melody to Plummet "Damaged") and energetic rhythms. Includes a "Hard Mix" for those looking for a more hi-octane mix.

Roccomundo & ONNO “The DJ Took Pills†Little Mountain BNX 12 – Little Mountain going a bit more melodic in this release which features spacious synth swells, chunky rhyhtms and a catchy male spoken vocal about how the DJ keeps focused. Flipside track "I Love You" is a bit funkier and deeper in feel, with a whispy female vocal hook and some mid-90s influenced synth work.

Scooter “Suavamente†Edel GER 12 – Germany's hard dance rap master gets a little Latin with hooks of a classic Latin track providing the hook in this new single. No rap in this version, which is a promo test copy, but a festive, energetic Latin tech-trance monster production. On the flip is the similarly rap-free "Tranceatlantic" which is a stunning anthemic melodic monster.

60-40 “Cupboard Love†Deep ENG 2x12 – Dark, brooding progressive house production with a plaintive female vocal worked into the production. Remixes come from 16 Bit Lolitas, Ozgur Can and Rene Amesz and they provides distinct interpretations on the original, from a more melodic to a chunky, techier feel.

Armin van Buuren “24 : The Longest Day†Nebula ENG 12 and C5 – Commerical edition now out of this massive anthemic trancer that integrates vocal and synth samples from the popular TV Series, including the beating clock sound from the introduction of the show. Includes both vocal and instrumental versions, and simply massive production from one of the top Dutch masters.
