I bought one way back when I was in the Army ( it had a blasting cap crimper! ) and I still have it and use it today. One really nice feature is that it has slide-locks for the different tools that you fold out to use. With the locks you don't have to worry about the blades. etc...folding back on your fingers. Also the outside of the pliers is solid, so you can get a stronger grip without the metal edges biting/pinching into your skin. Go Gerber!They also make some quality folders. I own the Gerber BMF Knife and the MarkII CS combat knife. I've had both for over 20 years and believe me, I've put them to the test.
