tifferina7
Ok, ladies which is the best hair straightener out there. Of course I started out with the hot tools and then progressed to a ceramic one from 'Essentials' that I paid $100 for. Now I'm looking for a new one. Which one's are the best for wavy hair. Any suggestions?!??! Thanks in advance! barraquilla
MysticRain
I've tried a lot of them and they all seem to do the same. I don't think any are really better than the other.
barraquilla
I use a hai ceramic iron. It works very well, never have experienced any problems with snagging or hot spots. Its totally not worth the $200 I paid though, its very good, but if you can find one that's comparable and cheaper, go for it.

clubbingirl
well is it better to have a lil steam or just heat?
eck739
Conair makes a great Ceramic Plate Iron for like $25. You can get it at Rite Aid. Its the best one I have ever used. I naturally have straight hair, but this works so well that it flattens to the point that it adds major inches to my hair and makes it so shiiney. barraquilla
cookie6
Hot Tools have some good ones. I got a new ceramic one from Helen of Troy that works good-it was like $45-$50. thephoenix and Orisha

partytill8am
I definitely recommend CHI. These flat irons are sold only in professional salons anywhere between 120-180. They are expensive but fully guaranteed and you will not be disapointed!! Good Luck!
klubchat
CHI irons work whether you buy them for $100+ or go to Sally Beauty Supply and buy what's there. Just be sure to deep condition your hair more often; they do a number on your hair.

danihawk
Yeah, right now I have a conair one thats awesome and works better than any other iron I ever had...and I got it at Duane Reade for like $20 I have the same one...my friends who have more expensive ones have tried it and said it's better too A stylist told me before that the only thing that really makes a difference is whether or not it's ceramic. partytill8am
yes I would say it definitely makes a difference weather its ceramic or not Go With Ceramic. I have found another reason the "professional" flat irons work better is the temp gauge. They seem to get much hotter thus straightening your hair the best. Also what I have found to help are heat safe products. They will coincide with the flat iron to bring the straightest hair as well as shine and protection! Hope this info helps Good Luck Girl!
