groovefire Posted May 31 Report Share Posted May 31 Friday June 3: Featuring Groovefire with their exclusive Little Mountain Record Release Party, an opening set by Nigel Harkness and George Nessis in the Lounge RISE resident funky progressive house DJ trio returns on Friday, June 3rd, in support and celebration of their upcoming LP "Earthquake" on Little Mountain Recordings. Following a massive WMC week, their first original release, "Mama", debuted on Release Records in March. "Mama" quickly became a regular play of Lee Burridge, Deep Dish, D:Fuse and countless others. The track reached Number 11 on the Release Records Hype Chart and Number 3 on the Balance Record Pool Chart. Next up from the Groovefire camp is "Earthquake", a funky progressive and electro floor-filler that is already making noise worldwide, receiving regular support from Jondi & Spesh, Greg Benz, and Sander Kleinenberg himself. Groovefire officially celebrates the release of "Earthquake", along with their recent invitation into the Balance Record Pool, this Friday night.Local up and coming DJ/Producer and long time Rise member and supporter Nigel Harkness will open the night up. George Nessis will be playing the Lounge all night. George is regarded as one of New England's best house dj's. With almost ten years of experience behind the decks he's equally at home playing deeper sets as he is bumping madness, consistently weaving in his love of jazz, funk, quirky techno and asprinkle of soul no matter the pace or mood of the party. George is also is very fortunate to be a resident at one of the hottest nights in the region, Bump, at the Phoenix Landing. This all follows Miguel Migs at Avalon, so be ready.
