/6/8/05 - Get Funked @ Betty's

Godskitchen's Kris B, Nosmo, Diskokitty

In our new FUNKED monthly we're joining Lee Foss, Spencer Lokken, Sassmouth and Antiphase on our rotating residency, this new rotating monthly is gathering speed. Nosmo's first solo residency for Localsound by the way. We're doing things like we did at Big Wig, cheap (no cover) and freeform on the decks. Nosmo and his production partner Kris B are joined by new Localsound resident Diskokitty.

Kris B (Godskitchen, Spundae LA)

Nosmo (Localsound, Fuel)

Diskokitty (Localsound)

Kris got his start as a DJ in Chicago, drawing from the years of house music knowledge surrounding him to forge his own sound of funky progressive house. He has done guest spots on several shows for XM radio, Proton and Eccentricbeats, Q101's "Sonic Boom", on 92.7's "Clubland Underground", and KCLU (LA). His "Nightshades" mix series have earned him respect around the world through his tireless promotion and distribution. As a promoter, he can take credit for successful events in Chicago and LA, ranging from 200-2000 in attendance. Diversity, talent and ambition keep taking Kris further.

Kris was recently named one of the first US resident DJ's for Godskitchen in Los Angeles. For Godskitchen and Spundae in LA, Kris has shared the bill with BT, Gabriel & Dresden, Anthony Pappa, Ferry Corsten, George Acosta, Tall Paul, Richard Vission, anthony Pappa, Seb Fontaine and more just within the last year. He has recently re-joined forces with his original production partner, Nosmo (Grayarea) in the studio and live, with a DJ set involving both Dj's, CD players, laptop, scratching and FX, incorporating technology only recently available to the DJ. Kris B & Nosmo were responsible for the now classic single "One for the Road" which started careers for Kris himself, and his widley acclaimed former group, Grayarea. "One For the Road" was signed to U.K. label Hope Recordings, who released the original with an exclusive remix from sought-after remix team Gabriel & Dresden, in February 2003. Originally released on his own Eggplant/Nightshade label in 2001, "One for the Road" had already gained him international recognition: it was featured on Sasha's "Essential Mix" recorded in Miami at the inaugural show of the Delta Heavy tour,4-07-02, featured on Pete Tong's show, 7-5-02; #1 pick for D:Fuse's Feb '02 chart , played on Paul Van Dyk's "Radio Fritz" (8-21-02) reached #1 on the Massive Buzz chart, and making #8 on the Balance
