There is a special element that comes with parties that cater to the curious and open-minded, and with the new generation of LGTB being unafraid to explore in co-ed environments, it becomes that much more interesting. One of the most promising of these new experimental mixers will be from the same folks that brought you the always sexy Brazilian ALMA parties. Muzikbutrfly, Manchildblack and their mighty dance massive plan to meet the need for a pride party that represents the full spectrum of the community, particularly people of color, whose hues aren’t necessarily represented in the rainbow.

But you don’t have to be caramel coated like resident DJ True and his partner-in-crime from ALMA, Miller Cruz to get a slice of Flan. It’s the perfect dessert for anyone after the main course of the Pride Parade, serving up many more musical sides to this delectable duo than their trademark Neo-Brasilian Fusion fare.

The crew has called on two New York veterans exclamatory of their top quality musical standard to program the evening’s affair. The best of the Bronx meets the best from Brooklyn with Andre Collins and Carlos Sanchez both laying down sets conducive to free movement, celebrating life, being one’s self and sharing it with the world.

Carlos Sanchez’s past experiences have earned him noteworthy residencies from his debut at Leviticus, NYC to his current popular weekly party RHYTHM, with partner DJ/Promoter Fred Pierce, already in it's fourth year. When not spinning in the club, you can catch Carlos in the studio where his keyboard and vocal arrangement skills are often employed by top artists, producers and on his own behalf, with the Carlos Sanchez Movement. Andre Collins, on the other hand, is the original DJ of the legendary Warehouse parties with Mike Stone in the Bronx. He’s held residencies at Vinyl, the exciting new club Love, as well as being one of the chosen few to successfully rock The Shelter’s main floor for maestro Timmy Regisford.

The combination of these four exceptional DJs is sure to keep the crowd moving to the early AM hours, providing an alternative to the segregated pride events that divide the community each year. A portion of the proceeds will go to The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Community Center. Get there early for goodies, raffles and slices of flan, of course. Flan hopes to create unity the old fashioned way, through music and dance, giving everyone their sweetest desserts for Pride.
