Of course, there was the issue of disbanding the Iraqi Army, and putting 300,0o0 plus on the streets with no jobs......worthy debate, but no clear answer......how the administration dealt with that would have been met with scorn no matter what....disband the army, and they fled to the insurgents......keep the army, and you are leaving intact a Baathist element who was an instrument of Saddam's terror....can't win....
