SEE-I will be performing live at ESL SUNDAY SOUNDCLASH 2 with their full band - they have just finished a 3 month international tour that has taken them all over North America and Europe as they have toured with, played alongside and opened up for Thievery Corporation. Not only is this their first DC performance since the three sold out shows at the 9:30 Club, but the band is also celebrating the release of their forthcoming SPECIAL OPERATIONS album! Be sure to check their website and myspace profile for audio samples, links and much more info.

SEE-I Simple words which the modern-day English speaker says at least ten times a day...See, I think...See, I want...See, I know...has been the focus of Rootz and Zeebo's creative energy for many years. You have the opportunity to tap into the energy already well known to music lovers around the world. As the focal point of Thievery Corporation live shows from day one, SEE-I connects with massive audiences from the States to Glastonbury, Lisbon, Athens, Paris, Reykjavik (just to name a few) and back again. SEE-I massive (Rootz, Zeebo and a live band who's diversity spans 5 continents) has traveled the world from their D.C. home base, bringing with them musical energy that has crowds of thousands jumping up and down for more. One step closer to unearthing the invisible connections among mankind, around the globe, these songs carry a meaning which is felt the first time heard. This taste of musical pleasures is an entry point to a body of thoughts, encouraging you to consider a new way of looking at the things you see, and the things you don't see. Whether in the studio laying tracks, or on the stage entertaining, SEE-I connects through and through. Fresh downtempo grooves, infused with dubbed out vocals, infectious rhythms, and a unique sensibility make for a powerful mix. Artists, professionals, and charismatic individuals, Rootz and Zeebo have a network of fans and supporters throughout the world who are awaiting their chance to see and hear them again.

i know quite a few people are trying to make their plans & get ready for the 3-day holiday weekend - so here's what the set times are looking like for the patio on sunday nite.

09:00 - 10:00 PETER H old school/funk/soul/go-go

10:00 - 11:30 JAHWEI bossa nova/downtempo/lounge

11:30 - 1:00 BJOO jazzy drum&bass flavors

01:00 - Close SLANT dub/reggae/conscious roots dancehall

once again, this is only a rough guide to go by - SEE-I will be playing in the Gold Room most of the night and it's going to be a big night, so try to arrive on the early side. big it up!!!
