Who is P.Q.M. (prince quick mix)? House music?

yup house music...

HAs done numerous tracks for Yoshitoshi and many other top labels.

He originally is from NYC and moved to Australia a few years ago.

Some of his biggest tracks are:

You Are Sleeping(One of the biggest and memorable house tracks in recent years)

Flying Song

Nameless

Everyday

and many more...

he spins hip hop as well sometimes(not at Cellar tho) and thats how he got the name prince quick mix. Some of his beats were even used on Biggies Ready To Die album.

heres a quick Bio:

Who is PQM?

His real name is Manny, but his alias “Prince Quick Mix†is what he releases his productions/remixers under including “Insane Poem†and another recent notable “Nameless.†He earned this name when first dj’ing and wowing audiences with his turntable “speed†trick of playing two copies of the same record and slamming the break in as fast as possible to create a new rhythm. While he’s known for his progressive house sounds, he originally began with hip-hop and reggae releases in the duo “Nubian Crackers†on Big Beat/Atlantic, Nervous and Slammin’. Notorious B.I.G. featured one of their works for the underlying rhythm to “Ready To Die.†After a request from a label to do a dance track, he found it pretty simple to throw together a house record and get it signed. Over the years, he’s remixed Celine Dion, Sarah McLachlan, Gloria Estefan, done four Yoshitoshi label releases and has found his many collaborations with John Creamer & Stephane K the most fun and impressive

through to his recent collaborations with Phil K such as ‘The Just Wont Let Me Be’, his tracks have been licensed to countless compilations over the last few years. And his DJ sets are just as entertaining, with Quick using all the tools available to him, fusing his music with his own accapellas, beats and pieces to ensure that you’re not going to hear anything like this from anyone else.

Andy, what order did the dj's play?

I thought the 3rd one was really good..... So much fun there this week. :D

Mikey G 10-12

PQM 12-2

Chris Soul 2-4

Mikey was playing chill, deep, funky house to start the night off, PQM was more on the tribal, slightly proggy vocal tip and then Chris closed it out with more pumpin, discoish, hands in the air beats

great meeting you FINALLY last night :shades2:
