groovefire Posted September 1 Report Share Posted September 1 Plasma's picture is better, but susceptible to burning out in 5 or 6 years, and more expensive than LCDs.LCDs last longer and cost less, but aren't available in screen sizes as big as plasmas, and weigh more.If you're looking for big screen (42" or larger), also check out DLPs. That's what I have, a 52" Toshiba HD DLP. For the money, it can't be beat IMO. Alternatively, go with a EDTV (Enhanced Def rather than High Def) Plasma, picture is nearly as good as HD but significantly less money.
