JAY WEST

Jay has been related to music in almost every way possible.

Born in Rosario, Argentina; ever since he was a little boy he developed a huge passion for music, and in his teen years he formed several live bands and performed as a songwriter, singer, guitar and key player. His love for creation grew in time, and he learned and fell in love with music from the funk and disco past era. Then, house music appeared in his life, and it had all the ambition and originality of all the styles he loved and learned before.

Attracted by the sounds that were coming from the West coast of USA, he built a very own unique style, making himself heard and earning quickly an important place in the internacional scene.

With solid productions (under his alias JAY WEST) that receive support and charting from a great variety of djs as Hernán Cattaneo, Satoshie Tomiie, Tony Thomas, Amir Javasoul, Jason Hodges, Chris Salt, Jay Tripwire, Tyler Stadius, Randall Jones, Shawn Ward, Jacob London, Grant Dell, Greg Vickers, and many others…, Jay West has become a very solicited name for the main labels in the business.

He was part of Miami’s Winter Music Conference in the last two years, showing his new material along with artists like Desyn Masiello, Joshua Collins, Dj Heather, Jay Tripwire, Asad Rizvi, Dan Berkson, Amir Javasoul, Dr Kucho, etc… and already toured around USA with shows in Los Angeles, San Francisco, El Paso, Houston, etc…, and Mexico. Europe, Asia and Australia are scheduled for 2006! Paul has already performed in many countries and cities always carrying his particular style and his excellent dancefloor experience in his funky bag.

His sets are always funky, original and fun and have made thousands of people dance. He has been hosted in the most important radios and websites around the globe (www.undergroundhouse.net www.comfortsessions.com www.homegrown-music.com www.protonradio.com www.mercuryserver.com). He was also part of the Southamerican Music Conference (w/ Nick Warren, Dj Dan, Richie Hawtin, Green Velvet, Eddie Richards etc…) in Buenos Aires in december 2004 as a panelist directing production workshops and seminars, and performing as a dj in the most important parties in Southamerica (BUE Fest – Personal Fest).

Mainstream artists like Hernan Cattaneo, Jay Tripwire or Grant Dell have called him the most promising producer in southamerica, and his presence in the most important labels with more than 15 releases, prove it.

Jay also hosts his own radio show in FM101.9 Kosiuko Buenos Aires every Thursday at 00hs (www.kskradio.net).

As Jay West he has produced a great variety of tracks and remixes signed by the most representative labels in the industry (see discography). He’s been remixed by heavy weights of house like Grant Dell, Patrick Turner, Morgan Page, Swirl People, Army Of One, Darkform, Mark Ashken, Alican & Soner, Greenskeepers, Dj Freestyle etc…. He has also worked remixing artists and bands like Shawn Ward, Shrewd, Army Of One, Vanderkoy, Sahagun, Can Costa, etc…

He worked side to side collaborating with various producers always searching for originality and new sounds, teammates like Matt Shrewd (they both work as Pushin Boundaries), Diego Cid, Shawn Ward, Manuel Sahagún or CPM have worked with him.

In 2006 he has decided to take one more step forward and launch his own label FLAVOUR RECORDS, based in UK and along with his partner, Matt Shrewd the first releases are highly expected for this year.

2006 will be Jay's year since he has a really fat release schedule and plans to do another USA and Europe tour, be there & don't miss it!
