6th & Fairfax Presented by BijouBreaks.com

BijouBreaks.com presents 6th & Fairfax, a breakbeat radio show. In addition to featuring many established international DJs, a major focus of the show is showcasing the "up n' comer" DJ, providing them a platform to be exposed to a worldwide audience. 6th & Fairfax is named after the Los Angeles street corner where the idea for the BijouBreaks website first came about, and the area continues to be a source of inspiration as we journey forward.

Manuel Neztic [sound Of Habib / Mob / Sango Music]

Manuel Neztic has been working on the Mexican electronic music scene since 1998, promoting, DJing and producing tunes for independent labels in Latin America like Konfort, Pantamuzik, Arteria & Toltecnica.

His sets has always been on the housier end of breaks, including tech funk and progressive vibes. After some digital releases on Fat! & Slanted House, Neztic took a different path on his productions, which lead him to get some of his tunes signed by labels like Distraekt, Mob & Sound of Habib.

Phoneme [Romania]

It was the hardcore techno/happy harcore music that first got Phoneme into listening to electronic music. After that he discovered breakbeat/big beat and drum & bass music, new and innovative music to his ears. Phoneme started to search and collect this music by every means available to him. His favourite artists at the time were Propellerheads, Prodigy, Chemical Bros and Fatboy Slim. A couple years went by before the sound of nuskool breaks and DJs like Adam Freeland, Rennie Pilgrem, Koma & Bones, and Dylan Rhymes entered his ears. Llabels like Fuel, TCR and Botchit were releasing the tracks he was hungry for.

As the sound of breakbeat evolved, Phoneme followed it. Loving the styel and what today is called bassline breaks. Phoneme admires many producers in the breakbeat scene including Ed 209, Pete Samplers, Dranged, Control Z and Screwface.

The feeling that he can be a part of elevating the music, especially in his country, motivated Phoneme to start throwing events in his local club back in 2002 which continune tto this day. It was through these events that DJing with CDs held him over untiil turntables entered his life. Since 2005 Phoneme has been booked to play at more gigs all over the Romania.
