rudeboyyouth Posted August 1 Report Share Posted August 1 Does anyone remember FREEDOM back in 1997 and 1998? That place was off the fucking hook, with (at at that time) the unknown DJ Rob James. It was out in the Hampton Bays, not far from Summers. Opened at 4am and closed around 12 or 1 in the afternoon. It was fucking sick. Toward the end of it's run, they did away with the afterhours. made it 18 and over, and started making it like CPI's, by closing it around 5 am. It was phat when it first opened up though. I was told by a friend that there was a raid there and since then, it has been closed. They had SICK afterhours there...loose dress code, loose security. apdiddy Posted August 1 Report Share Posted August 1 yo freedom was the best afterhrs hamptons ever had. rob james was aight, played the same commercial house you'd hear at cpis before you got there, but no other afterhrs ever compared to that. last summer i wanted to throw up at the sand bar, what a fuckin dump. i heard town politics closed freedom down. they always tried to close it down, with fire marshalls and uniformed police comming down there every other week and shit. rest in peace freedom.------------------deez nuts Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Unlike the commercial vocal house that is too often spun at CPI's by Ojeda, he spun some wicked underground shit that at the time wasn't too often heard.
