Ross, a Berklee student and Dimond, a DJ of almost ten years looked to their wide ranging influences including everything from Fred Everything to Jesse Rose to Everything But the Girl and wasted no time in concocting the record Vous Fartez. Vous Fartez was an instant hit at the 2006 WMC and got many plays from Justin Martin and other respected DJs in Miami. Acting on the buzz created by their first track, Utensil Recordings commissioned The Bald & The Beautiful to do a remix of JT Donaldson & Cpens Take U Back. The remix was also well received and since then, the duo have been hard at work on original material for labels such as Odori, Dirtybird, and Bassmint. On top of upcoming original and remix work, Matt and Tanner will be bringing their eclectic style to the clubs with DJ sets that span many house music genres. The Bald & The Beautiful are set to blow up, and they are ready to show the world that BALD IS BEAUTIFUL!-------------------------------------Record review for Odori Release from Phonica Record Shop, London UK"From Boston in the US, The Bald & The Beautiful duo have been making firing, futuristic House music together for only a short time, but their productions have already been put to acclaimed use by Dirty Bird Records (US) and Utensil. The Bald & The Beautiful have recently remixed JT Donaldson and Cpen’s “Take U Back” on Utensil records earlier this year, the huge club hit by Claude Von Stroke’s “Who’s Afraid Of Detroit” for Dirty Bird Records, and SWAG’s “85” for Version Music. Receiving heavy rotation from Jesse Rose and Claude Von Stroke, this killer four tracker sits alongside forward thinking UK labels like Dubsided and Made To Play"WARM-UP:RESIDENTSTOM BARTLETT(Hot Lunch, Reverible, Inuendo)SERGIO SANTOS(Moving Sounds, Marz, Boston)
