stereolab
This was my first B&S party and I finally understand why people love it.It was probably the best vibe, dancing energy and mix of people I've ever seen.
sidoolongo
After walking out on the last one at Pacha, after the tough-act-to-follow double-header of PS1 opening day and the Water Taxi Beach afterparty the day before, after the Skate Circle in rare form (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IkZ31DYRdz0), and feeling the fatigue from helping a friend move for most of the day, I had my reservations.I went with a friend who despite being less than a year in NYC has already found and done stuff that 20-year veterans never knew existed: Gay South-Asian parties, B-burg guerilla loft parties, beatboxer flash mobs on the subway, Governor's Island Swing concerts, sneaking into the Renwick ruins (Roosevelt Island Smallpox hospital), Accordian festivals, Othodox Jewish rock jam sessions. She has also lived in the Central African Republic (and snuck into Nigeria), been a Stuntwoman on a Bollywood movie, and hiked the Himalayas. The look of wonderment and awe on her face was no small feat.
