weyes Posted June 12 Report Share Posted June 12 while some people insist on cooking with total precision, it is not always necessary. for instance, the food network's alton brown will say that pancakes MUST be cooked at a certain specific temperature or that they're not worth eating or that one must not mash potatoes too much because that will "bruise the starch granules." but sometimes one can even forget an ingredient altogether and produce a dish that still tastes great.tune in tomorrow.
