John Creamer, a true pioneer in the world of dance music, with world wide fame via hits such as his work with Stephane K on Iio "Rapture", Kosheen "Hide U" and originals like "I Love You", comes at us with a "piece" that seems to spell REINVENTION…the next phase in both his career AND in what we will be hearing on dance floors around the world.John is known for his productions being more soundscapes or musical paintings rather than just "tracks", taking the listener on a journey inside his mind. For this project, it is obvious that even the process of production is inspired. During a studio visit with Hybrid in Venice Beach, as they scored MAN ON FIRE, the film that included the vocal for "Una Palabra" by Carlos Valera, John immediately extracted it and held onto it until the time was was right.After a car accident in Peru that left John in critical condition, upon recovery, the need to be closer to family in Philadelphia seemed necessary for him to get back to center. Splitting his time between NYC and Philadelphia, he wanted someone there to help paint new musical pictures and musician, engineer, producer and DJ Phillip Charles, was/is the perfect fit. With a diverse resume that includes production with and for Macy Gray, Ursula Rucker, King Britt, Miles Davis and Dot Matrix, along with being a member of Tigerhook Corp., Phillip Charles brings some heavy weight to the table. "Una Palabra" translates in English as 'one word'. The word that best describes this musical union: PERFECTION!"Una Palabra," one can hope, is only the first of MANY collaborations between John and Phillip.
