clubmaster
Qoöl is the original clubbing happy hour in SF, if not the world, and the longest continuously running dance music event in San Francisco. Every Wednesday evening, starting at 5pm, Jondi & Spesh host a five hour club night at the 111 Minna Gallery in San Francisco. The music, mostly electronic, has a progressive theme, from electro, to breaks to techno, to progressive house and even ambient. Each DJ plays a short 45 minute set, and the talent ranges from bedroom DJs to international supastars. All are welcome, and partygoers are a chaotically diverse yet harmonious mix of electronic music loving phreeks, suit clad downtown wage slaves, hippies, artists, trust fund babies, neighborhood homeless, and international tourists. The enthusiasm and dedication of Qoölios is world famous. In fact Qoöl is often pegged for its personal vibe and all out "Saturday night" feeling. The cover charge is only $5 and a good chunk of the proceeds go to non-profit organizations, including The SETI Institute and the San Francisco Homeless Coalition. Every Wednesday from 5pm to 10pm at the 111 Minna Gallery, 111 Minna Street, San Francisco, Ca.
