An event not to be missed as Mark Farina & Jose Mata take you on a journey till the early hours of Sunday morning.

MARK FARINA-

Since 1989, Mark Farina has been traveling the globe performing at literally hundreds of shows a year, sometimes DJing both of his preferred styles in two different rooms at the same party. At other events, he's been known to play extended sets that lasted over eight hours. In his House sets, Mark is known for his uniquely effortless journeys on the jazzy side of Chicago House, mixed up San Fran style.

"I look at my job as a modern day traveling minstrel, to bring new music to as many places as I can, and expose obscure records that, otherwise, might go hidden." While Mark Farina may be able to sum up his job description in a sentence, there is much more to be written.

Mark developed his musical tastes in Chicago - listening to house music on the radio, living in one of the country's most primordial breeding grounds for house. Around '88, while record shopping at Imports, Etc., he met Derrick Carter and a friendship began. "I just ended up there between classes, I ended up buying his picks. He steered me toward the cutting edge House producers of the time."

"I started playing when I lived with my parents and didn't have any bills to pay so I could just buy records. My intentions were never to just make money, it's nice, but it's kind of turned into a job by accident - it was a hobby that turned into a job."

JOSE MATA-

Jose Mata, one of the most recognizable names in the electronic music industry. A Louisiana native he now calls Florida his home. In 2004 he emerged as a young fresh talent mesmerizing faithful audiences with his soul-stirring dance tunes and making dance floors rock not only in Florida but through out the United States.

No matter if its playing on the beach's of Miami or in the largest night clubs in Los Angeles, the dance floors remain intense during one of Jose's sets.

2007 was the year to progress for Jose, who found himself in international territory on the “Solar Sessions Tour†as well as opening for world class names such as Markus Schulz and Noel Sanger. During this time Jose was featured on Sirius Radio's Area 33, and several other internet radio stations, as well as being ranked 42nd on the Progressive House Charts for 2008.

Despite the accomplishments, 2009 seems to be his best year yet. Already in 2009 he has performed at the largest music festival in America (ULTRA MUSIC FESTIVAL) as well as several other major events across the U.S. Although he is very busy playing gigs he is just as active in the studio as he has in the DJ booth. Currently working on several remixes, as well as original projects with some of today’s best producers and artists. He will be releasing new tracks and mix compilation on Dissident Music as well as other labels in 2009.
