clubmaster Posted July 18 Report Share Posted July 18 Purchase tickets today for the all punk show at middle east downstairs as part of the: 2009 boston music festival ? battle of the bands this year marks the third annual boston music festival in boston, ma. taking place october 13-18, 2009, the festival will feature a combination of educational events and musical performances. thursday, friday, saturday, and sunday, 36 bands will participate in a battle of the bands competition featuring 6 different music venues throughout boston. prior to performance, each band will receive radio airplay on local college radio stations, including 91.5 and others. bands will be divided into 6 categories, and each category will be venue exclusive. what does your ticket buy you? when you purchase a ticket to the boston music festival, we want to make sure your ten bucks is well spent, so we?re going to give you the following. 1. one full night of music (7pm-1am), at two different music venues, each night! that?s twelve performances by some of boston?s hottest new musical talent. 2. the chance for you to cast your vote to crown the winner of the 2009 boston music festival. 3. free gear from the boston music festival and our corporate sponsors. venues include middle east upstairs (cambridge) tt the bear?s place (cambridge) hennessey?s (boston) paddy o?s (boston) o?briens (allston) harpers ferry (allston) voting will be completed online at bostonmusicfestival.org and onsite at each of the venues. three music industry professionals will be present at each venue judging performance/overall image of the band, actual music (lyrically/melody), and overall sound of the band. one finalist shall be selected in each category to participate in a final showcase performance at the middle east upstairs featuring headlining band ? freezepop. featured genres rock/pop hip-hop/r&b metal punk singer-songwriter alternative prizes grand prize high definition music video of the winning band recording studio lockout professional website design professional photo shoot headline performance at boston music festival showcase performance gear video of live performance (performance finals) winner?s plaque 1st and 2nd runners-up performance at boston music festival showcase performance gear video of live performance (performance finals) winner?s plaque Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
