clubmaster
Chapterhouse are a British shoegazing band of the early 1990s, originally from Reading, Berkshire, England . Formed in 1987 by Andrew Sherriff and Stephen Patman, the band began performing alongside Spacemen 3 . After the band split, Sheriff later formed Biocom. They were initially compared to the British acid rock scene, a mistake hardly rectified by the band's early performances supporting the rather laid-back Spacemen 3. Chapterhouse eventually found themselves associated with the shoegazer groups of 1991 (with the likes of Lush, Ride, Moose and Slowdive ), so called because of the bands' static live shows and insular music. ____________________________________________________________________________________ Ulrich Schnauss was born in the northern German seaport of Kiel in 1977. He became interested in a range of music: My Bloody Valentine, Slowdive, Tangerine Dream, Chapterhouse, and early bleep & breakbeat tracks. There was not much opportunity to see his musical influences in Kiel, so he moved to Berlin in 1996. ____________________________________________________________________________________ Fan Death is string driven disco pop band that is a collaboration between Dandilion Wind Opaine, Marta Jaciubek-McKeever and producer Szam Findlay.
