Guest nickjunkie
Not that I know of. That's not the answer. Here's a clue - the question could be what does Hitch have in common with Matt Damon and Ben Affleck?
Guest joeygk
I just did a google search and strangers on a train & talented mr ripley were based on the same novel --- so that sort of connects them --- I should get bonus points for that! From IMDB >>>>>"Fifty years after Hitchcock’s 'Strangers on a Train', director Anthony Minghella has followed up his Oscar-winning The English Patient with another classic adaptation of a Patricia Highsmith novel: 'The Talented Mr Ripley', staring Matt Damon." Guest nickjunkie
Dude, give it up, no gold star for you! There's a much more solid link - there's no Ben Affleck in Mr Ripley...

However, that's not the answer on my card, so it gets passed to the next contestant...What's the link between Alfred Hitchcock, Matt Damon (and Ben Affleck)? Guest JMT
man, IMDB has a lot of random stuff about him: In a recent USC class on Hitchcock (fall of 2000), guest speaker Patricia Hitchcock revealed that two guilty pleasures of Hitch's were Smokey and the Bandit (1977) and Benji (1974)!When finishing a cup of tea while on the set, he would often non-discriminatingly toss the cup and saucer over his shoulder, letting it fall (or break) wherever it may.he gave the shortest oscar acceptance speech ever for him lifetime achievement award, he just said "thank you." Guest joeygk
the film Rebecca won best picture in 1940, not alfred hitchcok ---- the oscar doesn't have his name on it - producers of film recieve credit for best pic awards not directors---- Alfred Hitchcock never won an academy award except for the lifetime achievement award. Guest JMT
well here is one connection that i didnt know: John Woo made "Paycheck" (starring Affleck) as a homage to Alfred Hitchcock, designing specific shots from scenes in 39 Steps, Psycho, The Birds, and North by Northwest. And Affleck's character was based on Cary Grant in "N by NW" wearing an identical gray suit.
