ridiculous comparision. we are not marching them by the millions to gas chambers.

You're comparing body counts with the Nazis in order to defend our national honor. This is what we have become.

How about method's and intent. Nazi's wanted to rule the world... US wants freedom for all.

If you really believe that then I want some of whatever you're smoking.

Our credibility on claiming that we are fighting for freedom is shot. Part of why it's shot is because we do not support the ICC in opposition to genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes and aggression. We oppose terrorism and drugs, the world sees that. They see us as the biggest cheerleaders of crimes against humanity (the 10,000 civilians if you haven't been paying attention), war crimes, and aggression. We openly express the same racist, end-justifies-the-means mentality that led to Nazi genocide. We have become the bad guy and nobody believes us anymore when we tell them that we are fighting to liberate anybody. Especially Iraqis.

Just think how many more would be dead if we did not take care to avoid civilians. What other country (bedices Isreal) shows such restraint. How about looking at how Russia deals w/ problems....

One of the many reasons why the world is upset at us is because we used an enormous strike with overwhelming military force bypassing the Iraqi military and directly attacking into a civilian population center, resulting in high numbers of civilians deaths. The technique was invented by Nazi Germany, it's called a "Blitzkrieg" for those of you who didn't sleep through history classes. Our grandfathers fought in WWII against the sins fo the Blitzkrieg.

This is part of the discussion regarding war crimes in the international community.

You are so confused. Blitzkrieg singled out civilian areas... we hit military targets.

We hit 10,000 civilians in population centers pretending that we were making surgical strikes on military targets. It's easy for you to forget that but the families of the 10,000 civilians don't feel lucky to be 'liberated'.

Saddam put military guns in population centers to defend them because he couldn't imagine that we would really be evil enough to strike an anti-aircraft gun off of the to of a 10-family apartment building. That was evil. We showed the world that we were more evil than him by hitting those apartment buildings.

Baghdad was a civilized, modern city with a population of 5 million people before we invaded. That's a city the size of Miami. It's a desolate war zone of burned-out buildings and women afraid to leave their houses now, for fear of being abducted or killed by foreign terrorists. Go freedom...

It could have been 100,000. They are lucky we are so kind. Shit, Sadam killed more w/ Mustard gas than we did in the liberation process.

Comparing the Bush administration to the Nazi party has become pretty common lately. Al Gore today comparing the administration's thing for crushing dissenting voices using robots like Saleen who are willing to blindly "Sieg heil!" and attack anybody who disagrees with Der Fuhrer:

Gore said media who challenge Bush and Cheney's claims of a link are intimidated by the administration.

"The administration works closely with a network of rapid-response digital Brown Shirts who work to pressure reporters and their editors for undermining support for our troops," Gore said. The term "Brown Shirts" refers to Nazi supporters in the 1930s and '40s.

Right wing warmongers here will rip on Gore but it won't stop more and more people from openly comparing Bush and Hitler. The Bush administration has demonstrated how it handles disloyalty. They use the same exact methods that Saddam did.

Iraq now has 20 fully functional universities.

Yeah, and those universities feel extremely secure, especially for the women.

You have low standards for a "fully functional university". FSU grad?

im just saying what i read, same as you do.

and i must have forgot, you went to harvard. fucking herb.

UF. It wasn't Harvard but at least none of the bomb threats were real.

then your university standards are as low as mine, but with less women.
