NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- A day after cutting star Eddie George, the Titans signed another veteran back with Super Bowl experience -- former New England Patriots workhorse Antowain Smith.

Smith, 32, agreed to take substantially less than the $2.5 million base salary demanded by George. The Titans have been fighting the salary cap to fill out their roster and sign all of their draft picks.

how much longer till the season?

Eddie George is supposively going to sign with the Cowboys, Bill Parcels is allegedly already started talking money to George. So the Cowboys may have a big time back on their hands.

I guess I am going to have to go visit my family in Texas again.

Smith and George are nothing special right now. But maybe George has a chance w/ Parcells. Parcells is great with veterans. Just look what he did with Testaverde in New York.
