Guest web_norah
Written by Joshua MarstonDirected by Joshua Marston**** / *****‘Maria Full of Grace’ brings together a fairly simple storyline and a character study to create a film that is intriguing, tense, and dramatic. Writer/Director Joshua Marston manages to bring freshness to the drug movie genre and does so with a creative eye for talent and visual storytelling. From start to finish the film constantly pushes the characters in front of us and makes us understand their situation and position while forcing us to feel for these people even when we know they do have more control than they like to feel they have. It’s the risks they are willing to take that drive the intensity of this film that continuously builds on its suspense.
