I ate there for the first time on saturday.

im not big into sushi, but i thought the food there was excellent. 6 peeps in our group and we did the whole "family style dinning" thing, ended up trying about 10 different dishes. tack on a few bottles of wine, and the bill was enormous.

anyone else have an opinion on the place?

Me, Carisa, Aryn and Evan ate there and the food was excellent and the whine was great. But the bill was a whole different story.

Nobu is @ the shore club which btw looks so much better than how it looked b4 w/ all those crazy bamboos...talking bout the front of the hotel

There's also a hardcover book called Nobu, from the same ppl.

Should also check out China Bistro @ The Waterways in Aventura. Large variety of Sushi and great Chinese food. The place is Glatt Kosher, so the food is excellent.

I go there regularly. IMO, it's worth the juice. ;)

However, pod is right and Katana is very good and inexpensive in comparison. I have him to thank for telling me about that place.

Even if I had the flow, I think blowing shitloads of money on small portions of food is ridiculous. That being said, I am glad the trend is to the 'resto-lounge' now, so you can go and have a few drinks and enjoy a party without having to pay for an overpriced sushi roll.
