Guest xbbdc Posted November 22 Report Share Posted November 22 i went to the paperbag stripper thing... i got there around 9:30.. the guys that run doubleviking are cool.. well the strippers were from an escort service... the guys wanted the girls to do lesbian shit at the "warehouse". they said they tried to bring a pole but it broke or some crap, and so the strippers were gonna dance on the back of a pick-up truck! hahaha i had to see this! i found out the strippers were gonna get there at 11... so im like fuckkkkkkk.. space was only free till 12... so then they get there around 11ish and 1 of em didnt know about the lesbian shit and she got all pissed/nervous (dont know which 1) but finally around 11:45 they return, but at that time i hauled my ass to space, drunk. on that street before space thats a 1 way, i went down the wrong way! hahah i was cracking up! i parked and speed walked to this big ass line! im like wtf.... so i just skipped like 20 something people and got in.. cedric was rockin it right for the first time for me after hearing him like 3 times. i saw flip, gave me some gum and didnt see him after that. phil, colleen and drdave from tranceaddict showed up, and deep dish took over around 2:30. that shit was packed the whole time, it was worse than ferry this past friday. i forgot my ear plugs, the smoke was bugging my eyes and i just started to get tired so i took off around 4:30ish.. i was trying to wait and hear my song - deep dish - say hello but i couldnt wait any longer. and they charged me a dollar for a cup of water.. that was gay. oh well, i wish i could've stayed longer. Guest junglesmacks Posted November 22 Report Share Posted November 22 tasty tasty the night was.. i must admit! the place was slightly above average full.. but the vibe from early on was gooood.. even during the opening dj (who i cant remember the name of) judging from the amount of screams and hands and fists in the air i could tell it was going to be top notch.. to be TOTALLY honest i wasnt rediculously impressed with the opening of DD.. kind of repetative and by this time the amount of people and heat were starting to get to me, so i made my way to the terrace.. the sun started to appear and soooo did the people.. obviously preparing and "re-energizing" for what was to come.. i could feel the anticipation in the air.. the light got stronger along with the vibe, as the screams got more and more intense.. i dont know at what point or what time.. i just remember suddenly it was light and there was smoke and i was jumping in the air screaming to my hearts content along with 2000 fellow lovers of life... WOW i could not believe what i was seeing.. instead of the party drifting off, with every drop of the rythym it got more and more and MORE intense! people sitting down crouching waiting for the drop and them WHAM!! and everyone would jump into the air..! it was dream..wowi kept turning to the person next to me and saying.."you know.. if i stop and think about what is REALLY going on right now.. it just blows my mind.. " maybe it helps that well.. my mind was.. umm.. blown but in an ooohhhh so yummy sense.. oh yes.. oh yes.. DD emerged sometime around 8 AM to grab the reigns and THEN .. then they started to amaze me.. thick thick rythym drops that amazed me over and over again..overall one of the best experiences ive ever had.. *hint* Hernan Cattaneo the 11th of dec!can you say... Zzzzzz I watched the crowd from the balcony for like 30 min not much dancing.... Went to the Patio Roland was spinning getting the crowd into a groove than to my surprise I see Ivanno setting up in which I thought to myself oh lord I guess this means I will be departing soon since I really haven't been feeling his track selection lately and to my surprise he was back to his old form. Than Sharam went on and redeemed the DD name. I had to leave around 10:30-11 because Monique broke herself with the help of the Assassin! I have a friend who almost did that gig but she bailed because she decided after talking to the Double Viking guys that they just didn't have their act together and she sensed that it would turn into a trainwreck.
