Guest web_norah
SonarClub will be taking part in the International Book Fair of Guadalajara (FIL-Mexico) set to take place on December the 3rd, 2004 Two months after SonarSound Tokyo, SonarClub will be taking part in the International Book Fair of Guadalajara (FIL) with a roster of Catalan artists featuring DJ2D2, Solo Los Solo, Nacho Marco and Ãngel Molina. The FIL began 17 years ago on the initiative of the Universidad de Guadalajara and is currently the largest editorial fair of Spanish publications worldwide. The guest country this year is Catalonia.A multidisciplinary programme has been prepared for the event, comprising theatre, cinema, literature, music as well as fine arts and dance, and featuring well known names from Catalan culture such as Quim Monzó, Enric Vila-Matas, Juan Goytisolo, Joan Manuel Serrat, Maria del Mar Bonet, Miguel Poveda, Sol Picó, Oriol Bohigas and Els Comediants. With SonarClub Guadalajara, Sónar is once again actively promoting electronic artists from our country in other geographical regions beyond our borders.Programmed artists on SonarClub night:DJ2D2 (dj) (hip hop): Undoubtedly one of the most highly talked about names on the Barcelona club scene. The secret behind his success is none other than an exquisite selection of beats and breaks, which can be heard on “Bit Streetâ€, his debut CD released on SonarMusic.Solo Los Solo (live) (hip hop): With their third record release about to come out, Juan Solo and Griffi are back on stage to reaffirm their main signs of identity: lots of chunky rhythm, rambling lyrics together with uncompromising sophistication. Nacho Marco (dj) (house): One of the most internationally known Spanish Djs of the moment and half of the MM project alongside Ãngel Molina, with whom he had done the remix for Fangoria. He releases his music on the Yoshitoshi/Shinichi, Odori and Alola labels.Ãngel Molina (dj) (techno): The author of “Wax Sessions†has deservedly and by overwhelming majority won the title of best Spanish DJ. Beyond any style, be it techno, house, electro-pop, ebm or anything else that the packed dancefloor is ready to absorb. www.sonar.eswww.fil.com.mx
