The hotel heiress reportedly opened her performance by screaming: "I hate techno" at the audience, before lip-synching through the first track from her forthcoming album, 'Paris is Burning'. But onlookers claim the crowd were unimpressed by her efforts and turned their backs on the 'Simple Life' star before heckling her off stage as she attempted her own renditions of David Bowie's 'Fame' and a Blondie song. A source revealed: "Paris quickly left." The sexy singer has struggled to get her pop career started after it emerged that another artist was planning to release the same debut single. Haylie Duff, older sister of teen star Hilary Duff, claims she recorded her own version of 'Screwed' over a year ago and announced in July that she was trying to block Paris from releasing the track. But Paris is pressing forward with the release after the song was leaked on the internet in August and has already drafted in David LaChappelle, the man behind Christina Aguilera's 'Dirrty' video, to work on her debut single. Earlier this year, the 23-year-old beauty set up her own record label, Heiress Records, to release her own material. At the launch party in July, Paris told reporters her music would be "a combination of Blondie and Madonna with a little bit of hip-hop thrown in."
