Guest sanmartindj
Michael Arrieta, senior vice president of Sony Pictures, told an audience at the Digital Hollywood conference Sony wants to create a movie version of Apple's iTunes music service, reports CNET News. Devices like the PSP are pushing companies like Sony to find an easy way of distributing Hollywood in a digital format. "We want to set business models, pricing models, distribution models like [steve] Jobs did for music, but for the film industry," Arrieta said. Though the iTunes-like service in development at Sony will likely service film fans at large, you can be sure the PSP (and likely the next generation PlayStation) will be a big part of their plans.
